Andrea Ortiz, OTD, OTR/L, is an occupational therapist with Mapleton OT. She provides early intervention and clinic based services in English and Spanish. Andrea has experience providing occupational therapy services in schools, outpatient pediatrics, and community mental health. She loves working with pediatric clients. Her practice is collaborative, creative, and rooted in affirming neurodiversity. Andrea understands that all families have the right to direct their therapy services in a way that makes sense for them personally.

Andrea is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology with a minor in Education. She completed her doctoral degree for Occupational Therapy at Midwestern University in May 2022.
In her free time, Andrea loves hiking, reading, and spending time with loved ones. She has two dogs and a cat that bring her endless entertainment and joy. She has a regular meditation practice.
April Monroe, COTA/L, is a mother and occupational therapy assistant who received her education in Peublo, Colorado. In addition to her education as an occupational therapy assistant, she also has an extensive education in nutrition, meditation, and is a certified yoga instructor and personal trainer. April draws on her diverse experience for a holistic approach to help the families she works with to find balance.
April has worked with people from all life stages in a variety of settings including schools, assisted living facilities, rehabs, skilled nursing, home health, mental health facilities, and outpatient pediatrics.

Andrea, COTA/L, completed her Occupational Therapy Assistant studies at Pima Medical Institute Denver in March 2019. She has primarily worked in pediatrics, gaining experience with children from birth to 21 in different settings such as outpatient, in-home, and schools. Currently, she is focusing on early intervention for children and their families from birth to 3 years old. Andrea believes that working in early intervention is crucial for setting children up for success and educating families about available resources. She also serves as the President of the board of directors for Lil’ Dreams, a non-profit dedicated to providing access to therapy and respite services for children and their families, working to improve their quality of life.

Originally hailing from Massachusetts, Andrea’s journey led her to Auckland, New Zealand, and Southern California before landing in Colorado’s Boulder area. Despite her passion for the ocean, she unexpectedly found solace in the natural splendor of Colorado’s mountains. She devotes a substantial amount of time to outdoor activities with her husband, two sons, and her French bulldog, Stanley.
